About Tips for the First Time Mom

Having a baby changed my life in ways that I could never expect. Since my son was born in October of 2010 my life has been turned upside down. A lot of people fear these changes, but take heart! Once I had that baby in my arms I realized that all the sacrifices I have to make are worth it. I would do it all again!

All the parenting books that publishers print were wonderful guides to help me understand a little about raising a child, but the moment that life was placed in my arms for the very first time, I was completely overwhelmed. Everything I read up to that point vanished in an instant, and then it began…..

Panic set in.

In an effort to try to find answers to problems that arose as I was learning on the job, I reached for tools. Books, websites, family and friends. All of these were great resources! But there was still so much information that was missing; so many things I needed answers for. So I dug. And I dug. And eventually I was spending so much time trying to find the answers that I would throw my hands up in frustration and just cry.

Then it hit me… By trial and error I found the answers I was looking for, so why not save another mother the tears and share what I have learned with her?

To all you first time mothers out there, this blog is for you! It is a rolling blog book that will be updated as I discover more answers by trial and error. There will be information about pregnancy, delivery, raising an infant, and beyond!

Please keep in mind that I am not a doctor. I am not an expert. These are simply methods of problem solving that worked for me (and were approved by my doctors in some cases) as a new mom. Everyone has a different method of parenthood and in some cases you may not agree with my advice. While I am willing to offer advice I will admit that I am by no means a professional. If you don’t agree, don’t try it.

That said, thank you for your interest in my rolling blog book! It’s been long in the coming that someone finally released this information. I look forward to providing you with advice. If you have questions feel free to ask and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge. If you have a bit of advice you would like to share that isn’t covered here please feel free to email me at info[at]stardavies[dot]com
